My Daily Habits
I'm 80 and feeling better than ever. Here are the habits I stick to every day:
- Take a 30-minute brisk walk each morning to keep my heart and lungs strong.
- Eat oatmeal, nuts, and berries for breakfast, rich in fiber and antioxidants.
- Have lunch and dinner with vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein, avoiding processed foods.
- Take a 20-minute nap every afternoon to recharge.
- Call or meet friends in the afternoon to maintain social ties.
- Read or learn something new daily to keep my brain active.
The One Thing I Never Do
The one thing I absolutely never do is staying up late. I make sure to get 7-8 hours of quality sleep every night, which is essential for physical and mental recovery.
